The 34th Annual Dr. Danny and Martha Jo Kimberlin Photography Showcase returns to Paris from May 3–25, 2026, bringing together a powerful collection of images from photographers across the region. Hosted by the Paris-Henry County Arts Council, the exhibit will once again fill the W.G. Rhea Public Library with creativity, perspective, and storytelling through the lens.

Now in its 34th year, this showcase continues to highlight both amateur and professional photographers of all ages. With more than 50 photographers expected and over 150 visitors anticipated, the event offers a diverse collection of work that captures everything from everyday moments to once in a lifetime scenes.
Sponsored by Dr. Danny and Mrs. Martha Jo Kimberlin, whose travels to more than 100 countries have inspired a lifelong appreciation for photography, this showcase stands as a celebration of both global perspective and local talent.
Photographers are invited to submit up to three photographs at no cost. All entries must be original, completed within the last two years, not previously shown in the showcase, and appropriate for public viewing.
Entry Details

Awards will be given for Best of Show, First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and People’s Choice.
Categories include action, altered images, architectural, black and white, mobile photography, natural world, people, travel, and wildlife. Youth divisions are also included, with categories for ages 6 to 12 and 13 to 17.
Each photograph must be framed or gallery wrapped with a secure hanging wire and fall within the size requirements of at least 8” x 10” and no larger than 24” x 24”. All entries must be clearly labeled on the back with the artist’s name, title, category, phone number, and email.

May 26 or May 27 during regular library hours
All submitted work must remain on display for the full duration of the showcase.
This event is more than a gallery, it is a chance to experience the world through someone else’s eyes. From motion and travel to people and nature, every photograph tells a story worth seeing.
Photography Categories
From action shots to breathtaking landscapes, there’s a category for every photographer:

🔹 Altered Images – Creatively manipulated photographs
🔹 Architectural – Buildings and structures
🔹 Black & White – Monochrome photography of any subject
🔹 Mobile – Photos taken on a phone or tablet
🔹 Natural World – Plants, landscapes, and weather phenomena
🔹 People – Portraits or candid shots of individuals or groups
🔹 Travel – Capturing people and cultures from different places
🔹 Wildlife – Photos of animals in their natural habitats (no pets)
🔹 Youth Categories: Ages 6-12 & Ages 13-17
