Photographers sought for Henry County Event

If you enjoy taking photographs, the Paris-Henry County Arts Council and Dr. and Mrs. Danny Kimberlin invite you to enter “Captured Moments: A Photography Show,” the 29th Annual Photography Showcase, May 1-28. The show is open to any photographer, youth and adults, and is free to enter. 

Deadline for entry forms is quickly approaching. Registration must be received at the Arts Council office by 5 pm on Saturday, April 24. 

Photographers may register online at www.phcarts.com under the “Events” tab or download the form from the same website and returned by the deadline date to P.O. Box 1045, Paris, TN. Complete rules and requirements are available on the website.

There are 11 categories to enter: Altered Images, Architectural, Beginner, Black & White, Downtown Paris, Mobile Device, Natural World, People, Travel, Wildlife & Animals, and Youth. Prize money and ribbons are awarded for first, second, and third places plus there is a $100 “Best of Show” prize.

Photographs will be received at W. G. Rhea Public Library at 400 W. Washington St., Paris, TN, on Friday, April 30, 3 to 6 pm, and Saturday, May 1, 9 to 11 am. There will be no public reception this year due to COVID.

While visiting the exhibit at the library, please follow the mask guidelines and maintain social distancing. An online virtual tour will be available at a later date on the Arts Council’s website and Facebook page.
