Artist Showcase Made the News!

The Paris-Henry County Arts Council is calling for all area artists to enter the 36th Artist Showcase. The show will be held April 9-20th at the Rhea Public Library, located at 400 W. Washington St. The showcase is open to all ages.

The deadline for entries is quickly approaching. Registration must be received at the Arts Council office by April 4. Artists may register online at www.phcarts.com under the “Events” tab, or download the form from the same website and returned by the deadline date to P.O. Box 1045, Paris.

Complete rules and requirements are available on the website. There is a $15 registration fee for each entry.

Artist Showcase entries are divided into separate categories: Ceramics, drawing, fiber, mixed media, painting, and sculpture. Prize money and ribbons will be awarded in each category plus Best Of Show recognition.

Art pieces will be received at the library between 3-5 p.m. on April 8 and between 9 a.m. to noon on April 9.

A public reception and awards presentation will be held from 2-4 p.m. April 10.

In addition to the Arts Council, the event is sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission and Trolinger’s BBQ.
