Shape the Future of Art in Henry County, TN
Join Our Board of Directors
A thriving arts community takes more than artists. It takes people who believe in the value of the arts, care about their community, and are willing to share their time, talents, and experience to help great things happen.
At the Paris Henry County Arts Council, we're looking for individuals who want to make a difference by supporting local creativity, expanding opportunities for arts education, and helping bring meaningful arts experiences to people of all ages.
You don't have to paint, sculpt, sing, or play an instrument to serve on our Board of Directors. We're looking for people who believe in our mission and have skills, ideas, and connections that can help our organization grow.
What Can You Bring to the Board?
Our Board is strongest when it brings together people with different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
We're especially interested in individuals with skills or interests in:
Business & Leadership: Strategic planning, organizational development, and nonprofit management.
Finance & Accounting: Budgeting, financial oversight, bookkeeping, and financial planning.
Marketing & Communications: Social media, graphic design, photography, public relations, and community outreach.
Fundraising & Development: Sponsorships, donor relationships, grant writing, and fundraising.
Event Planning & Coordination: Organizing events, managing logistics, and coordinating volunteers.
Education & Youth Programs: Supporting arts education and creative opportunities for students.
Technology & Administration: Website management, digital tools, recordkeeping, and organizational systems.
Community Connections: Building partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders.
You don't need to be an expert in any of these areas, and previous Board experience isn't required. What matters most is your willingness to get involved, work with others, and help PHC Arts Council make a lasting impact.
What Does Serving on the Board Involve?
Our Board of Directors provides leadership, guidance, and oversight for PHC Arts Council. Board members work alongside our Executive Director, committees, and volunteers to support our programs, strengthen our organization, and ensure we're fulfilling our mission.
